Hey wassup man! Everyone just updated their blog so I thought I'll just join in the crowd too. Woo watched American Idol last night and Fantasia won! Alright I'm not particularly excited about the results because any of them who won, I would be pretty happy coz I think all the finalists were great. I mean if any of them were to join Singapore Idol, they'll sure clinch the 1st place.

Anyway, this morning was listening to the morning madness on the bus here to work. I wonder if any of you heard that but Sheik commented that Diana is totally untalented and Fantasia should win and he thinks that Singaporeans who didn't support Fantasia are pajiao and stuffs like that. His comments really threw me off. I was damn pissed with him I tried calling in several times to tick him off. But they didn't pick up my call. :(

Nevermind though, I'll just released my pent up anger here in my blog heh! Well, first of all, Sheik is freaking biased. This is not the first time he gave such subjective comments but this is waaaay overboard. Just because HE thinks that Fantasia has a great voice and deserve to win doesn't mean the whole world has to agree with him right? I mean certain voices appeal to certain people and some people really think Fantasia sounded like a duck. Moreover, as he'd mentioned, this is an IDOL contest, not a talent contest. The winner definitely has to appeal to the public in more than one way. You gotta admit, Fantasia really looked like crap. So voting for someone that appeals to the public = not voting wisely? How naive can Sheik get? How dare he says that Singaporean can't vote wisely just because some of them SMSed and said Fantasia doesn't look good enough to be an idol? You may think those peeps are wrong to SMS that but I think Sheik is even more wrong to put Diana down and say she can't sing for nuts and has NO talent.

Personally, both girls were great. In fact, all the 12 finalists were great. I agree that Fantasia has a unique voice that she has in total control of. But everyone's gotta agree that Diana is pretty good as well. Maybe not as good as Fantasia, but if Diana really won the title, I don't think that she didn't deserve it. She is way good than any one of us here can handle. And that includes Mr Sheik Biased Haikal.
