EVPS Mania

Thursday evening, I received an SMS from Desmond. An hour later, I found myself meeting him, Juncong and Geraldine in TM. As most of us weren't hungry yet, we decided to play some pool at pavillion. Been such a long time since I stepped into that place. Still remember how we always go there after sec sch and pull on a tee over our school U. Anyway, I'm still to regain some of my old "skills". Was so demoralised the last time I played when I couldn't get all my angles right.

After that, we took a cab down to Blk 85 for our dinner/supper. The cabbie was listening to some wayang chinese old records kinda music and the guys started making fun of it. It was so funny and the driver started getting a lil defensive about it and we suspected he purposely made a detour even though he claimed it was a mistake. And he still charged us accordingly to the meter even though he went the wrong way. $6+ from TM to bedok north!!

After some BCM, and fried oyster, we took cab down to Loyang for some KTV instead. Turns out everyone sang pretty well despite our initial modesty haha! But a pity Des had to rush off to camp for standby. Sad man, life of an army boy. Eventually, the remaining 3 of us took a cab home at 2+am.

3some Part II

It seems we are doomed to follow Part I's footsteps no matter how "EARLY" Shawn leaves his office. As usual I waited hours for him to pick me up... so late we were that Vivien was able to join us for dinner straight from work. Any guess what time we had our dinner at Maxwell? Well it's 10pm. But then I shall forgive that boy because first it was his birthday a couple days ago and second he was being oddly sweet by surprising me with a box of Royce chocs because I was feeling lousy the day before.

After dinner, we parked the car at our favourite carpark at Cairnhill and as we headed towards Cine, we joked about someone smashing the car's window because Viv left her laptop on the seat. Shawn was so panicked he insisted on returning and locking the lappie in his car boot. Good for us anyway, so we had time to carry out our little plan. First Viv and I went to collect our tix, then we choose a spot with a candle: TCC. We ordered a cake with a candle and told the waiters to wait for Shawn to arrive and us to get up before serving the cake. We choose the best spot we could given the crowd and made sure Shawn had only one seat to choose from, with his back facing the counter.

Here comes the funny part. As planned both Viv and I got up pretending to go to the toilet. We signalled for the waiter to prepare the cake and candle as we waited outside the cafe so that Shawn couldn't see us. We actually wanted to bring in the cake ourselves but guess what? The waiter set down the fork and serviette down beside Shawn, went next to him to light up the candle and brought it to the table without us! But it was really funny because Shawn got such a shock. He told the guy he didn't order it and when prompted that it was for his birthday, that thick boy said his birthday was 2 days ago. Laughing me and Viv came in singing THE SONG for him. But Shawn was such a spoilsport, he blew out the candles before we could finish singing. But can't blame him coz his face was nearly bursting with redness.

We waited quite a while for our drinks..so late that our drinks only arrived after my prompting at 12.15am when our movie starts at 12.25. But guess what? TCC and their supposedly infamous excellent service was demonstrated before my very eyes. To apologize for our delay, which wasn't really their fault since we ordered our drinks quite late, but either way they served us another slice of cake FOC. Seeing that we were in a rush for time, they offered to pack it up for us. I'm definitely going TCC more often now.

Xmen3 was not bad. I don't know if everyone would like it but I did because I'm such a fan of shows or stories with supernatural power people. I'm just pretty saddened by the ending though I'm not gonna spoil it for you.

After the show, we drove around and finally decided to have beancurd at Geylang. We talked about many things, most of which were naughty naughty stuff at first... We blamed it on the "Geylang Atmosphere".
