I am DARN full!

Remember 2 weeks ago I declared after an unsatisfactory IKOI that buffet ain't my thing? Well I changed my mind.

Courtesy of the boyfriend's bro, who was just offered a new job with Credit Suisse, gave us a lovely treat at The Line, Shangri La Hotel.

The décor was upbeat, appetizing, and trendy. Everything from the table mat to the pillars and chairs were in either orange or white. In particular, I found the waitresses' uniform (a dress in black & white V-stripes) ultra cool.

The variety were many..and many is an understatement. You can have a little bit of everything and still end up with an exploding tummy. No repetition. We had lobsters, crabs and prawns (from raw to bbq). We had beef (ooOo it was so tender), seabass, scallops, turkey, satay (the satay was yum!), varieties of fish and chicken and vegetables and sashimis. There was your choice of pasta made right in front of you, and soups (western or chinese, with the wintermelon soup being our hot fave), chocolate fondue with strawberries and candies, all sorts of chocolate and fruit dessert. I especially like this colourless jelly thingy with an alcohol taste that is not so overwhelming like what you get from liquor chocolates. We ended our meal with this HOT, sour fruit tea and some longans.

This is a "before" picture

and this is an almost "after" picture. By then, we already had all the main course and were coming to our desserts. See those on the table? By the way, you can see bro and dasao in the background. May I just add that dasao, the singapore girl (SIA), is hot? I felt like a plain jane next to her heh.

The boyfriend and I.

That's about all the pics I have. The lightings were too orangey it was making my hp camera's resolution weird.

By the way, we went fabric shopping in the day and bought this piece of lovely silk from arab st. Can't wait to make something with it.
