Hmm something is wrong with blogger so I don't know if this post will turn up. But in any case, I haven't wrote anything for a long time so here it is..
Been having a rather fulfilled life. Met up with some friends to play pool, dinner, chit-chat.. shopped quite a bit too. Bought another pretty pinkish-red puff sleeve shirt from Dorothy Perkins and new working shoes. Had cooking lesson with the BF at my place where we whipped up some butter-beer bratwurst, teriyaki chicken, veggie soup which tasted yummy and the bf and I had 3 servings of it each. We also had blackened scrambled eggs - blackened because the bf was lazy to wash the pan after grilling the teriyaki chicken and decided to just throw the egg in. But it was still edible though. We decided next time we might try something easier such as pasta. Thinking of aglio olio since I have plenty of olive oil at home.
Work is great too. Although it's not an investment bank, but I have to admit that I'm loving the people there and the job scope. My boss is damn nice and damn capable. As she takes me out to see clients, I feel more and more impressed with her and the way she handles people. And she gives me a lot of opportunities to prove myself to the senior management. I'm given 2 big projects to do on top of some nitty gritties like filing a trademark for them and finding a method for them to measure investments with risk-adjusted rates. One of my big project is branding the department in MoF into a shared services centre for the other ministries and I will see through the entire branding steps from planning to implementation. Planning includes MR stuff and research while implementation includes our open-house event, marketing kit and website design (of course I'm NOT doing the actual designing). The second project is developing a business case for them by doing research, forecasts, valuation, scenario/sensitive analaysis, simulation and the sort to decide whether this business case is worth pursuing. Challenging stuff but I like!
Okay that's all for the writings. Shall leave you all with the photos now..
