Wotcha! Haha didn't expect me to blog?

Oh well been really busy. Really busy. So busy I don't even remember where my time went. But of course I do remember some memorable fridays with my colleagues. First time at Brasserie Wolf and the other at Brewerks. Pocket burning events ha.

We ended up at Brasserie Wolf by mistake. At first we wanted to go to Timbre but my workaholics colleagues were still not done by 8.30pm (our reservation time was at 8) so a few of us decided to head out first. However, as we could not confirm our reservation and we've yet to eat, we decided to go to Brewerks instead where we could have our dinner and drinks at the same time. Turns out Brewerks was packed with people. So Uncle Shu suggested going to Robertson Quay to have this v nice ramen. As Robertson Quay was some distance away, and on the spur of the moment, we end up taking a river cab there!

This time with Uncle Shu.

However, luck was not on our side. The Ramen place has closed down! In the end we found a place that have enough seats to accomodate us in that area and it's none other than Brasserie Wolf. By that time it was past 9pm and the rest of the peeps were already on their way to join us. So there we were at this overpriced and classy looking restaurant, we settled our dinner.

A candid shot of the rest of them. The one smiling at the cam is my favourite (by default) buddy Ben.

My nice-looking but not-fantastic-tasting and overpriced porkchop

After dinner, all of us except went to this cheapo looking but comfy beach bar for a drink. Nearly fell aslp on the comfortable seats, if not for the hilarious company.

That was the Friday prior to Month-End. So how did we celebrate the end of Month-End? Yes! We went to Brewerks! This time we made proper planning and reserved the place early. As usual there were some workaholics so everyone only finally came by 10pm. But it was a great night and we shared trading tips, discussing about the over-discussed subprime problem. We joked over R-rated stuff, and they gave me insights on my career path. It was a great night and the beer was great (at first, until we hit the 4th tower and everyone was just dreading the "cheers" word). It doesn't help when some of them doesn't drink much. I had at least 5pints! Anyway, I also had the new york steak medium but tasted more like well done. But in any case, it's still a pretty nice place. The bill came and it was $585! But it's okay, we had fun and if money can buy happiness, why not?
