On Saturday, I caught Harold and Kumar (or is it Kumar and Harold?) with the old TMS gang after dinner at Simpang Bedok. It was HILARIOUS. It wasn't a show worth $9,50 although the company more than make up for it.

Today, I caught Iron Man and it was worth it even if I had to watch it alone. Being a sucker for superhero storylines, plus the raving reviews I've been hearing, I definitely did not want to miss it. With 2 days left in Singapore before I depart for Japan/S.Korea, I booked the bf for a date at the new Cathay cineplex at downtown east today.

Despite the high expectations I took into the theatre with me, the Iron Man still managed to entertained me thoroughly. I like it because of the portrayed tension between business and humanitarian. I like it coz of the super glam technology, gadgets and whatnots. It's not very realistic especially how Tony Stark managed to create a super-power robot suit from scraps of metals. But can you actually name me one superhero story that is actually realistic?

What I especially like about this movie is the precision of the length of each part of the story. I liked that they elaborated on the process and not the final showdown. It deeply reminded me of Batman Begins, which was another fave of mine. Nowhere was too draggy, nowhere was too short. According to the bf, they managed to keep close to the actual looks/plot/characters of the comic. And from a superficial vainpot's perspectives, the gold and red Platinum/Gold/Alloy Man suit is super chio.

So seriously, if you haven't caught the show yet, please do. Money back guarantee you will not regret it... It is sometimes funny, at times touching and many times exhilarating.
