Blessing in disguise...
Yes, indeed it is. I was filled with resentment when the company arranged for me to move down to the 4th floor. It turns out to be unexpectedly and surprisingly, a good decision, to my advantage of course. I have so much privacy now, I do not have to be on my guard or watch my back constantly. Now, if someone walk past, they would be within my view, yet neither me and nor my PC would be in their view. I would have plenty of time to react and stop whatever "illegal" things I could be doing. The only thing to watch out for is the rarely used door behind my back. Besides, I merely have to be more alert to any door opening sound and I should be safe.
This reminds me of some sayings about losing something you thought mean a lot to you but actually after losing it, you gain something much more valuable. I was reading a book and I came across something a guy in the story wrote, something about losing a useless card that he thought was treasure but upon losing it, he gained a long-lasting friendship with a stranger who helped him hunt for the card that was never found.
Like the cliche phrase that we often received from emails: when one door closes, another opens for you. Life wouldn't be so cruel to us, taking everything from us without compensating, and leaving us no way out. If we become overly obsessed with our loss, we might never get to see the beauty that comes along. So cherish what you have now people! And don't be too bothered by what is already gone...
