Business Course?

I received NTU's letter 2 days back. They are offering me a place in their Business School. I wonder if I should be psyched about it. I mean afterall, I'll be going to a local university! At the same time, I'm going into a competitive course and not some dumping ground like engineering. I should be happy, right?

But no, what I really want is to get into Mass Communication. It's been what I've wanted for the past 2 years. I gave up my chances at Ngee Ann polytechnic. Now, I have to deal with losing it, or fighting for it (by means of appealing.) However, this time, the hope seems low. I doubt that many people who got a place in NTU's mass comm would give it up. Afterall, that's the only local university that offers that course. Unlike courses like business, where people might give up the place in NTU and accept the one in NUS (or something like that), it's not gonna happen for Mass Comm.

Besides feeling disappointment regarding my rejection at NTU's communication school, I am, at the same time, feeling worried for Dearie's application. He picked the same 2 choices as me in NTU, so if I only made it to my 2nd choice, what would that leave him? I hope SMU would give him a call or something. But you know what? Maybe I shouldn't worry so much. Because I think he would be a suitable candidate for the new course in NTU, something about media and stuff, something that only opens in 2005. *cross finger*

Yeah alright, so business ain't so bad. In fact it's pretty good. And I could probably take up a minor in NTU's mass comm studies. I just gotta keep telling myself to look on the bright side.

Time for lunch. Ciaoz~
