I must make yet another confession: I think I am...


Haha.. don't know why too but I really enjoy my work. Even though I go to the office at 9am, leave at 10pm and sometimes forget to have lunch or dinner because I'm up to my neck with work.. Still I don't find myself checking the watch, wishing it's time to go home.

The peeps at my office are all really nice. No politics at all. Everyone is like family. They may scold scold if you make mistakes but they forget about it after that and we just joke around, exchanging sarcastic comments. A conversation with my boss went like this today:

June: Ah..ehh whats-your-name (my boss has difficulty remembering names), when's your next holiday?
Me: Er, next year loh..same time april to august.
June: Then you better come back to work. We teach you so much things, better utilize you longer.
Me: Haha but next year I need to do internship.
June: Do it here la. Better still, intern then we can pay you lesser.
Me: Ha.ha.ha. I'll pretend I never hear that.

And I'm given real work to do! Not like the repetitive manual granting of Patents like at IPOS. This morning I was given the chance to do some accounting budget and improving the template for the promo space area in Tampines Mall and Rivervale Mall in 2006 simply because I expressed my interest in doing that casually over lunch with my boss and colleagues yesterday. Although work was demanding (I had to finish the budget and spreadsheet before noon!...though I actually finished it a little after 2pm =p), I feel like I am given the opportunity to learn and not treated like a dumb-student-cum-temp-staff that I've seen many companies done.

And after rushing the invites to mail out to tenants later half of the day, I still have 13 items on my to-do list, almost half of which are urgent and I believe the list will continue to grow tomorrow. Oh well, tomorrow is surely another battle at work...


....but I've fallen in love with war.

My cubicle is damn cool coz it is located at the end of the office so it provides me a lot of privacy..


It is also spacious, so spacious I can't even fit the entire space into one pic haha... though today there was hardly enough room for me to put my elbow because of the vast amount of files=work thrown my way.


And lastly, my own personal mini fridge sitting right on my desk! Can you spot my white grapes and aloe vera juice and a box of white chocolates?




Hehe alright enough of me gushing about my godsend job. In case you start thinking it's all fun and glory for me, I must clarify that I do ocasionally miss having the luxury of time to spend with friends. I want a second outing with my TWC babes. I want my hot 3some friday late night movie. I want to meet my dearest girlies Mingyan and Tash when she return and Zhenjie too. I've already missed countless p sch outing already. And I want to go clubbing with Mary and gang again. Damn, I wish I have 48 hours a day instead.
