Been back from HongKong for 3days already but hesitating the post due to various reasons. Think I've caught the sleeping bug. Sleep at least 12hours a day since we got back. But finally here I am, updating my nearly dead blog.

Day 1:

Arrived at the airport with Shawn at 10+am and had to wait 2 hours for YL and Joyce at the airport. The wait felt so long we were wondering if the two had abandoned us and made their own way to the hotel. Turns out we thought too little of them. Found them and 4 of us took the Airport Express down to I-can't-rmb-where to change to MTR to take to Mongkok. When we came out of Mongkok station, we hopped onto a cab and was told by the Uncle that it is actually cheaper for us to take a cab straight down to the hotel from the airport. What a bummer. Anyway, the Uncle gave us his namecard so he can drive us back to the airport on our last day.

After checking in, and rested for a bit, we went searching for food!! So damn hungry. Haven't had a single drip of anything the entire day. Our navigations skill was still raw and wasted precious time searching for a supposedly famous place in the wrong direction. Decided to change plans and ate at this eatery which served yummy wanton/beef noodles.

Off to Langham place next. One of the largest shopping malls I've ever seen. It's like 13 storeys high!! First place we hit in the mall was a dessert stall that served very milkish dessert. First taste of the HK way.

Clockwise: Shawn & i at the dessert place, Joyce and YL had their taste of royalty, a shot of the inside of Langham Place, Me and Shawn and Keroro, Powerpuff Girls is Joyce and I!!!

Next on, it's off to the Avenue of Stars. The laser show was a disappointment but the scenic view of the harbor itself was worth the trip.

Later on, we went strolling through Temple Street and Ladies Market. I tried a small piece of smelly Tofu and it stink like hell.

Day 2:

Woke up bright and early and head on to Lantau Island. The ride into the island was more exciting than any roller coaster I've ever taken. Kudos to the driver who manoveured like an expert through the steep and narrow terrain.

Finally we saw the Buddha! It's really quite a view up there. We saw the relic of Buddha and had a slightly better understanding of the religion. Then we had vegetarian for lunch. I concede that I can never become a full-time vegge. There's just too much starch in the food.

Decided to make a trip to Tai O Village which is like a 15 minutes drive away from the Buddha. Nothing much there except a lot of strange looking fishes.

At night, we head on to the Peak. It wasn't much of an experience for me since I've been there before. But here's the beautiful HK scene for you in different variation the night,

Then we went photowhoring crazy in Madam Trussad's wax studio..

That's the end of day 1 and day 2. Didn't realise we took so much pics! Very tired now. Shall continue day 3, 4, 5 & 6 on another day.
