I was reading Jun's blog and she was mortified and ranting about being groped by a pervert in Shanghai. Then I thought of how Viv was molested herself recently near her house. When she told some of her friends, the girls also shared their similar stories with empathy.

It reminds me of the several experiences I had too, especially the first. It was the most serious among all and perhaps more serious than the others' cases. But then again, we ladies tend to find it too shameful to tell anyone and blame it on ourselves even though it's not our fucking fault. So if it's a nasty one, they probably wouldn't tell me anyway. Just like how after more than 10 years of silence, I'm still lacking the courage to share entirely now.

All I can say is, I am lucky I got away with nothing permanent, except a haunting memory. For years I have refused to sit down beside a stranger male on the bus or on the train unless it's possible for me to put at least an inch of distance between us. Any slight contact will send the red alert to my protective women instincts.

But what I really wanna share here with my lady-readers is that You Are Not Alone. And fuck the bastards for violating us like that. They have no right and They are downright disgusting. The next time some stinking men tries something funny on you, scream! let everyone knows! call the police! But if you're too frightened by the prospect of announcing your misfortune to the world, I suggest you bring a safety pin around so that when he strikes, you can poke him in the part that is rubbing you.
